Traveling to Venice? Best restaurants and bars around town
In Venice, there are many touristy places and it is likely that the customer service or the quality of the food does not live up to what the Venetians can offer. The food in Venice is delicious, but you have to research well the recommended places.
I would love to recommend some places in Venice for those who will be visiting the island!
BACARI: these are the typical bars where the locals go to spend time with friends and eat the typical "cicheti" with a small glass of wine "ònbre" or a spritz. In the bacari, apart from their typical cachet, you can also try out different things. In most of them, there are no places to sit down, you order and then go out by the canal and enjoy.
1. Ca`d'Oro detta alla Vedova - Cannaregio, 3912

2. Cantina do Spade - San Polo, 859 (por el mercado del pescado alado de Rialto)
I love the stuffed calamari, the polpette and the fritto de fior di zucca ripieno (fried pumpkin flower, stuffed with cheese and anchovies) / A mi me encanta la sepia rellena, le polpette y el fritto de fior di zucca ripieno (flor de calabaza frito y relleno de queso y anchoas)
3. Cantinone già Schiavi - Dorsoduro 992 - San Trovaso (en la zona delle Zattere)
The typical wines of the Veneto are the spumante white wines and the red wines:
Bardolino Superiore (in this bacaro, they have a huge selection of wines, so don’t hesitate on asking for their recommendation)
Valpolicella
Breganze
Garda Pinot Bianco
Le Zattere is one of my favorite places because it is next to the Canal Grande in the Dorsoduro neighborhood. You will not find many tourists like in of San Marco or Rialto, here there are nice places to sit and see the views.
